Received this email via our contact form. Sounds bizarre in my opinion. But with eBay Cassini Search as mucked up as it is anything's possible.

Hi,

Thanks for a informant page. Since a few days international customers
cannot view or purchase vehicles on ebay anymore. Every search or
browse attempt ends up with zero results. According to ebay support
there are two reasons: Nr one is that shipping is to expensive. Isn't
that up to the customer? Nr two is that the vpp program does not work
internationally. I got this response from ebay:

Dear xxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting eBay. My name is xxxxxx and I am happy to
assist you. I have read your message and understand you are trying to
view the eBay Motors site and that you are unable to view listings. I
appreciate you taking the time to contact us so I can explain how our
Motors Program works.

Fredrik, eBay Motors is a great program that allows our members to buy
and sell vehicles. However, the program is limited to our members in
the United States and Canada only, at this time. The costs of shipping
a vehicle internationally are prohibitive, and could cost more than
the vehicle. Additionally, most vehicles are not shipped, the buyer
picks the car up, or the seller delivers it to them. So you won't be
able to purchase a vehicle on eBay at this time, but we truly
appreciate your interest.

Specifically, the independent service provider that offers protection
for vehicle protection, or Vehicle Purchase Program (VPP) only
protects transactions where the seller, buyer, and vehicle are all
located in the US or Canada. Since buying a vehicle internationally
would not be protected, we do not encourage our buyers to purchase in
such a manner. This is why we do not allow you to see that listings,
simply because we cannot promote sales that are not protected.

For more information concerning VPP, here is a great link:

As you know, our sellers offer literally thousands of items for sale
on eBay, so we encourage you to browse the listings on eBay. I am
confident you will find many items you wish to purchase and are
available to you in Sweden. We have customized our site so your search
results are automatically filtered so you won't search for items that
can't be shipped to you, it is already done for you! We work hard to
make eBay as user-friendly as possible, and we hope you'll enjoy using
the site.

Please remember, all your purchases on eBay and protected by our Buyer
Protection program unless the listing states otherwise. As long as you
see the Buyer Protection logo in the listing, you can relax knowing we
are able to fully support you in that purchase. When you have a few
minutes, please review the details of the Buyer Protection program so
you will always be protected, by clicking below:

Again, thank you for contacting us. We look forward to your purchase
and I know you'll be an asset to our online community.

Thanks for choosing eBay. We wish you the best!

Sincerely, xxxxxxxx

Condescending Turd!

Thanks Ebay for making life easier for me by taking over the most difficult decisions I have to make, like is it worth it to ship a vehicle from the US. I now no longer have to worry about this as I cant even browse or search the cars for sale.
