Another PayPal Vehicle Chargeback
A vehicle is referred to as "titled property" and most credit card companies will not charge back on vehicles.

Here is a topic on forums from April 2014. Seller sold their car for $4,000 on eBay and accepted PayPal. Car broke down and the buyer charged back the full amount with his credit card company. Of course PayPal took that money back. Seller is screwed. Apparently nobody over at PayPal sucks knew that a vehicle is "Titled Property" and the seller could have possibly fought the chargeback.

"My husband and I sold a vehicle on ebay and the buyer transferred funds via paypal. Later the buyer claimed that the car broke down and demanded a refund. We refused as used cards are sold as is, the buyer abandoned the vehicle, and refused to take it to a mechanic (did I mention that the vehicle is almost 30 years old?) The buyer contacted his credit card company, filed a chargeback, and the almost $4000 was taken out of our paypal account. We have no vehicle and are out $4000."

While your here check out this blog post we published in June 2014.
