Despite the hiding of eBay user id’s, fraudsters are somehow offering phony second chance offers.

It seems like every time the ecommerce giant fixes something, or adds another feature, they hose something else up in the process.

Fraudsters hustling eBay members is nothing new. It’s been going on for several years that we know of.

We have received emails from several individuals recently that lost a lot of money to scammers.

One buyer lost $18,000 thinking he could buy a 2007 Lexus LX-470 for an unrealistically low price. The fraudsters stole his money in the blink of an eye. That was less than half of the vehicles true book value, at the time.

eBay does have a Vehicle Purchase Protection Program (VPP.) But they do not act as escrow agents. Nor holding money for sellers or refunding money to buyers. HERE IS A LINK TO THE REAL EBAY VPP DETAILS PAGE!

It’s the lure of a bargain price combined with good old greed that keeps these scams running. Friends, there is no Lexus SUV for half of book value. Or a 63 Corvette Split Window Coupe for $7900.

As long as people toss all their common sense out the window and rush right down to Western Union. Or as this scam works, bank wire the money to an alleged eBay agent. Scammers will continue to drain Americans bank accounts dry!

Be especially aware of any second chance offer you receive after losing an auction, it could be fraudulent. Never send even a small deposit until you have confirmed the validity of the offer by contacting the seller through the eBay message center. If a second chance offer is not in your eBay MY Messages it could very well be fraudulent as well. Proceed with caution!

Invoice For eBay Motors Vehicle Purchase.

In this fraudsters Invoice for a vehicle, the goal of this scam is to sucker the prospective buyer out of an $8450 bank wire transfer deposit.

This scam has a double whammy twist to it. The fraudsters request calling a toll free number to confirm your purchase. Calling that fraudulent toll free number will get your Identity Stolen as well as your money!

Watch this video as we show how the scam is operated.
